Hi there! I’m Danielle. I’m a mom to 4 amazing kids. Three girls and a lil boy. These are the faces behind the scenes. my inspiration. These little people are the reason I am so passionate about living a simply pure life. They give me constant topics aka shenanigans to write about.
- M, mother hen is 11
- G, my very spirited child is 10
- P, the little prince is 7
- A, the baby of the bunch is 4
My husband Paul surprised me with this blog as a birthday present for my thirty “something” birthday. He thinks I’m brilliant and I should share my knowledge and experiences with the world… or he’s trying to keep me busier than I already am so I’m not on his back. #scorepaul I do have to say that THIS Time Paul is right. (Don’t tell him I said that).
Heres a little about me…
Besides being a mom, I was a teacher. I left my teaching career to be at home with my kids. As much as I love being a stay at home mom, it’s certainly NOT easy thats for sure… more on that later. Now I’m a consultant for an amazing, holistic health and wellness company and i run an amazing blog/online business. Everyday i get to do what I love while in my pajamas from the comfort of my own home and around my kids schedules. #winning
I’m all about health and wellness! I’m holistic in my parenting practices and we are as natural as can be. I’m a firm believer that whole foods are real foods, toxic free cleaning products and good ol’ fashion remedies to cure common childhood illnesses. It baffles me how food and personal care products marketed for kids are filled with dangerous toxins that have hazardous effects on their health. As moms, we really need to educate ourselves and make informed decisions when it comes to what we put on and in our kids bodies. Just because it’s on store shelves and your doctor says its safe, doesn’t mean it is. We need to be one step ahead and determine what we deem safe for our kids not what society tells us is safe. I’m on a mission to help other moms by giving them the resources and tools to make informed decisions so they can lead a pure, natural and HEALTHY lifestyle.
I’m also very passionate about nurturing our minds, bodies and souls. As mom’s we are so busy taking care of everyone else, our needs and even our wants are often pushed aside. Taking care of ourselves has become a priority for me and I’m determined to make it a priority for you too.
I may appear as a responsible, suburban housewife and mother, but deep down I can still party like it’s 1999, but only until 10 pm. I love listening to music and my music preference changes every day. I love pizza, coffee and wine (not in that order), and I love kicking back and having a good time with friends. I find humor in even the toughest of situations and the glass is always half full. I enjoy reading a good book, or watching a good flick. I like celebrity gossip and reality tv. I’m a firm believer in pony tails and yoga pants. Yankees 98, 99 and 2000 are what’s up.
Motherhood is the most rewarding but also the most thankless job. Some days we slay it while others we pray just to survive the day. Having a support group of naturally minded moms (and dads) helps make this amazing journey that much more enjoyable.
I’d love for you to share this journey wish us.
