An Open Letter to All Moms on Mother’s Day
I would just like to tell you that you are AMAZING. I know sometimes you are tired, overwhelmed, over-worked, under-paid, and just worn out. But I encourage you to sit down, relax, and clear your head of all the things troubling you.
Sometimes you may feel like your slaying this mom gig and other times you may feel like you’re doing it all wrong. Sometimes you will get it all wrong, we all do. We are human. The important thing is that you pick yourself up, learn from the experience and keep it moving.
In the midst of what you see as mistakes, failures and imperfections, your child sees beauty and perfection. Only you can heal a scraped knee with a gentle kiss. Only you can chase away monsters from under the bed and in the closet. Only you can get your child back to sleep with the exact right pressure of a back rub. Only you…, BECAUSE YOU ARE AMAZING.
Every day of motherhood is different than the last. Somedays you may bang out your checklist like a rockstar, other days your only task for the day is to survive. It is okay. Today you may be worrying about getting your baby to sleep through the night, tomorrow you may be worrying about your kid’s choice of friends and in a blink of an eye you will be worrying about your kid going off to college.
Cherish every minute of this crazy roller coaster ride of mom life. That is exactly what this mom gig is, a crazy roller coaster ride. Sometimes we ride with our hands up laughing with joy and excitement, other times we just want the ride to stop so we can get off.
Because soon the ride will be over. When we look back, we want to have fond memories of our ride. We don’t want to have any regrets, or coulda, shoulda, woulda’s.
Enjoy the crazy, unpredictable ride with your hands waving high in the air.
Perhaps on Mother’s Day you will wake up to the smell of coffee and breakfast in bed. Maybe you will get spoiled with flowers, chocolates and gifts. You may get some beautifully made cards and pictures.
Or this may be just another ordinary day where you’re doing your regular domestic duties.
Perhaps this is a sad day for you for reasons beyond your control.
Regardless of how you spend your Mother’s Day, I want you to wake up Mother’s Day morning, look at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself “YOU ARE AMAZING”. Keep saying it until you believe it.
This is a day we celebrate us. Embrace it.
I wish you a day filled with love, peace and laughter.

Beyond Mother’s Day
Life is hard. Mom life is even harder. It’s a 24/7, 365 days a year job and it’s EXHAUSTING.
Mom’s today face more pressure than ever before.
Studies show that stress, sadness, worry and anger are reaching all time highs.
Eventually we are going to run out of fuel and it’s going to take a toll on us.
Unless we DO SOMETHING about it.
I challenge you to a “Me Time” Challenge.
Everyday for (at least) the next 7 days, spend 15 minutes doing something that is just for you.
Nurturing your Mind, Body & Soul for 15 minutes a day for 7 days is the best gift you can give to yourself.
